Hey all! If you made it here—yay! You’re a saver! I love personal finance but often find it difficult to stay motivated when I’m working toward a goal. Savings trackers that you can print and put on your fridge, in your planner, or up on a bulletin board are a great solution.
Not only do they help you visualize the amount of money you want to save and the steps you need to take to get there, they keep you motivated by showing you the progress you’ve made.
I like the idea of showing progress because I am big on breaking down seemingly unattainable goals into smaller achievable steps. It’s how I approach big projects, too—don’t put “clean the house” on the to do list. Break it down into rooms and tasks for each room! Same idea.
General free printable savings trackers for rainy day and emergency funds
I’ve put together a few different printable savings trackers so that you can hopefully find one that fits exactly what you need. The first few are general savings trackers. Oh, and the colorful backgrounds I have on these are just for presentation here—when you download and print them, they won’t be there—it will just be the trackers!
Mason jar free printable savings tracker
The mason jar printable savings tracker can be customized to basically whatever you want. There is a space at the top where you can write what you’re saving for, as well as a line at the top of the jar for how much you want to save.
Then, the lines inside of the jar are where you can color in as you save, writing the deposit amounts and dates on the right. The one below is blank, and then the one below that shows how you might fill it in.
Vacation-style savings tracker
The popsicle one is perfect for vacation savings! It also has a spot to write in what you’re saving for, as well as a spot at the top of the popsicle for your target savings goal. And then, just like the mason jar tracker, you can write in amounts and dates.
For this one, I have a plain black and white one, and then I also have one with purple hues and a beach picture 🙂 Again, I have an example of how this one might be used below.
“Money bag” free printable savings tracker
This one is great for bigger money goals because it has more spots for deposits. So, for this one, you can take your savings goal and divide it by 15 for the number of equal deposits. Write your goal in the little star.
This one has a black and white version, a purple version, and a light blue version to print. An example filled-in version is below as well.

Specific savings goal printables
The next few have very specific savings goals to work toward. One is a “$500 in 30 days” printable, while the other is a “1,000 in 30 days” challenge. While this is designed for a 30-day challenge, you don’t have to do it in 30 days—you can spread it out and do it in 30 deposits!
I also have a “$1,000 rainy day emergency fund” printable with a cute cloud and rain drops with amounts of money. As you deposit the amounts of money, you can color in the rain drops. Once all rain drops are colored in, you’ll have $1,000.
Free printable house downpayment savings trackers
And the last batch of free printable savings trackers I have are focused on house down payments. These are typically for bigger amounts of money, so the method of saving needs to be broken down a bit further.
As you can see in the one below, the goal is $20,000. Therefore, each of the 5 “goals” is a more manageable $4,000. And in each of the columns that add up to $4,000, there are 10 bricks you can color in, each worth $400.
I have versions of these down payment savings trackers for $20,000; $40,000; $60,000; $80,000; and $100,000. And if you have a downpayment goal that isn’t one of those amounts, you can print out a totally blank one.
Do the blank one, you’ll just need to set your own goal, do all of the math yourself, and write everything in. Download them all instantly and have a look to see which one will work for you! (If you need to calculate for a longer-term goal, check out a more advanced savings calculator.)
